Residential Solar Power

Solar energy has become a tangible solution to rising electricity costs and carbon emissions for many Australians. Declining installation prices and solar-friendly policies in many states have led to tremendous growth in residential solar power installations.

When you call us to discuss your solar system you’ll be speaking directly to the accredited designer, not just a sales person, so you will receive expert advice upfront. Bright Earth Electrical uses design software to ensure that your system is designed and installed to deliver you optimal return on investment.

A well-designed solar  system needs clear and unobstructed access to the sun’s rays for most or all of the day, every day of the year. Shading,  from trees or surrounding buildings, can reduce the productivity of your system.  Potential sites for your solar  system may be bright and sunny during certain times of the day, but shaded during other times. Usually, the best location for a PV system is a north-facing roof, but roofs that face west can also be used.

Flat roofs can also work well for solar systems as panels can be mounted flat on the roof facing the sky or bolted on frames tilted to the north at an optimal angle.

Installation

Installation of a residential solar system takes approximately 1-2 days, depending on the size of system. Our installers are Clean Energy Council (CEC) accredited and qualified licensed electricians and all our systems are designed and installed according to Australian Safety Standards.

Grid Connection

Your energy retailer is responsible for the installation of your bi-directional meter, which is required to connect your solar system to the main electricity grid, however, as part of our service, Bright Earth Electrical will arrange for this to happen on your behalf.

Bright Earth Electrical pride ourselves on quality systems, swift installations and ongoing support (including energy audits and solar panel cleaning)

Why you should make the switch to solar

The price of electricity has more than doubled for the average Australian home in the previous 10 years, and people are starting to realise that solar power is a viable alternative. It is estimated that in 15 years, half of all homes in Australia will be self-sufficient when it comes to their energy usage. The sooner you make the jump to solar, the sooner you start saving money.
